DR. MARK SAYER  BVSc  VETERINARIAN  Mark graduated from Sydney University in 1983 and worked at various mixed practices on the outskirts of Sydney until opening the Railway Row Veterinary Clinic with Karen in 1986. He's been a part of the furniture ever since.

DR. KAREN DOBSON  BVSc, MACVSc  VETERINARIAN  Karen also graduated from Sydney Uni in 1983, where she met Mark. Together they opened Railway Row, but individually Karen has become one of the leading bird vets in Sydney. Most days, you'll find her nose-deep in a bird book.

JEANETTE VREDEGOOR  VETERINARY NURSE  Jeanette has been a vet nurse at Railway Row since 1998, and has been serving the vet industry for over 30 years. She works on a part-time basis and has a special interest in cats and puppies, running our own Puppy Preschool.

CATHY LEESON  VETERINARY NURSE  Cathy has been working as a veterinary nurse since 1997 and joined our clinic full-time in 2008. Cathy enjoys working with all small animals, especially cats and is enjoying the challenge of working with birds. At home she is kept busy by Norman, her cat.

ASHLEY PHILIP  VETERINARY NURSE  Ashley started working with us in January 2016. She’s been working as a nurse for over 7 years and works at our clinic part-time. Ashley is a big supporter of adoption and loves giving animals a furrever home. She’s the enviable favourite of our resident bird, Two Toes.

COCO  VETERINARY NURSE  Coco started at Railway Row in October 2017, and completed her studies in Veterinary Nursing early in 2018. Coco has 3 parrots, a dog, 4 cats and some chooks. Besides animals, Coco loves being with her family & friends, cooking and exploring nature.

CHRIS O’DOWD  ANIMAL ATTENDANT  Chris is our hard working animal attendant that started with us more than a decade ago, in 2008. Chris does a wonderful job looking after the animals that come into the clinic, whether it be in the hospital or cats holidaying in our cattery.

FIGARO  CUDDLER/ESCAPIST  Figaro joined the family nearly 10 years ago. Like most of the team she was a stray in the world until she found her home at Railway Row. Keep an eye out for her when you come in, seriously, she's probably trying to escape.

DELILAH  HIDER/SNOOZER  Delilah is Figaro's younger sister. Coloured like midnight, she's learnt to use her colour to hide (and snooze) all over the clinic. Lately, Delilah has mysteriously gained weight and the team is working hard to find her secret stash.

TWO TOES  CHATTER BOX  Two Toes, named for the number of toes he has in his possession, has been with us for a few years now. Like all birds, he loves talking and will chat to anyone within range. You’ll find him on a shoulder of one of our staff, probably Ashley.
